About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own data sourcing strategy and prioritize internal and third-party data sources for onboarding
Define the source intake process from evaluation and vendor/provider assessment through ingestion, validation, and go-live
Partner with data engineering on connectors, schemas, and SLAs
Establish schema, freshness, quality, and metadata standards and governance for changes
Manage relationships with internal platform consumer teams and prioritize their requests
Define and track source coverage, data freshness, quality, consumer adoption, and time-to-onboard metrics
Maintain the platform roadmap, communicate trade-offs and timelines, and align sourcing investments with stakeholder priorities
Interview and shadow consumer teams to understand data usage and platform friction
Write requirements and data contracts and partner with engineering to size and sequence work
Evaluate new internal and external data sources and determine onboarding priorities
Report platform health and adoption to leadership and dependent teams
Use AI tools for source evaluation, requirements, documentation, consumer support, prototyping, and data profiling
Champion AI-assisted workflows across the platform and consumer teams

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years in product management
Meaningful experience with data, platform, infrastructure, or API products serving internal or technical users
Fluency with data pipelines, warehouses/lakes, schemas, data quality, and governance
Familiarity with modern cloud data stacks, including object storage, managed warehouses, streaming/ELT, and orchestration
Track record of treating internal teams as customers, managing demand, and driving measurable adoption
Ability to prioritize ambiguous cross-team requests into a defensible roadmap
Strong written communication and stakeholder alignment skills
Active use of AI tools and familiarity with evolving AI tooling
Real estate or proptech experience desired but not required
Experience defining data contracts
Familiarity with data catalog, lineage, or self-service analytics tooling
SQL fluency and comfort exploring data directly
