About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform initial psychiatric evaluations within 60 minutes
- Perform medication-management follow-ups within 20 minutes
- Complete documentation within 48 hours
- Complete referrals to higher levels of care within 24 hours when needed
- Complete record requests within 30 days
- Log into initial psychiatric evaluations 10 minutes before scheduled appointments
- Log into medication-management appointments within 5 minutes of scheduled time
- Check the New Jersey Prescription Monitoring Program at least every 90 days when prescribing controlled substances
- Attend a weekly one-hour clinical team meeting
- Perform onsite and virtual psychiatric evaluations
- Prescribe medications during virtual and onsite follow-up appointments
- Provide client refills within 2–3 business days
- Cover medication refill requests for absent providers
- Respond to urgent Medical Assistant messages the same business day and non-urgent messages within two business days
- Confer with the Chief Medical Officer, Medical Director, Collaborating Physician, Director of Nursing, Clinical Director, therapists, nursing staff, and psychiatric staff
- Refer patients to appropriate levels of care
- Attend scheduled supervision sessions
- Complete and maintain accurate patient records, including assessments, progress notes, treatment notes, termination notes, contract notes, and required forms
- Assist and cover other staff as needed
- Participate in assigned responsibilities supporting department success
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master’s in Nursing and Post Master’s Program in Advanced Practice Role
- Current and unrestricted Advanced Practice Registered Nurse licensure
- 1 year of experience as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse
- Current CPR Certification
- PMHNP certification
- Narcan certification
- Current Nurse Practitioner certification in specialty area
- Current active DEA
- Current active CDS if required by the state of employment
- Computer literacy and strong computer skills
- Microsoft Office proficiency, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Ability to read, write, spell, and communicate clearly in English
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities, multiple tasks, interruptions, and high-pressure situations
- Ability to function independently and flexibly
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
- Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods
- Availability for flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings
