About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Facilitate acceptance and completion of client informed-consent documents before intake assessments
- Outreach to clients who cannot complete paperwork and provide rescheduling opportunities
- Conduct intake assessments and ensure completion of PHQ and Columbia-Suicide Severity Rating Scale screenings
- Gather clinical data and make preliminary diagnoses justified by DSM-V criteria
- Assess clients' levels of care and facilitate referrals to higher levels of care when needed
- Complete biopsychosocial assessments, missed-appointment notes, phone-call notes, and other clinical documentation within 24 hours
- Make clinically justified treatment-plan recommendations and educate clients about recommended services
- Link clients to therapy, medication management, specialty services, and other recommended care
- Identify current client risk levels and maintain safety through crisis intervention
- Provide direct assessment services addressing biopsychosocial needs within allotted one-hour sessions
- Attend monthly supervision and weekly Intake Clinical Meetings
- Maintain key performance indicator expectations and cover other staff when necessary
- Build effective relationships and communicate with employees across all levels
- Use company computers, telephone, network, email, and office equipment
- Work in office and outdoor environments while managing concurrent and potentially stressful responsibilities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master's degree in the Human Services field
- Full or associate licensure in the state of practice; full licensure preferred
- 2+ years' experience working in a Mental Health Treatment Facility
- Microsoft Office proficiency, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong computer skills meeting Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Record software requirements
- Clinical charting knowledge
- Crisis management and suicide intervention knowledge
- Understanding of evidence-based mental health treatment practices
- Basic knowledge of TMS and Spravato
- Familiarity with telehealth services and virtual, HIPAA-compliant meeting platforms
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills in English
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage conflicting priorities
- Ability to work independently, flexibly, under pressure, and with multiple tasks and interruptions
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 25 pounds
- Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods
- Compliance with applicable state and federal laws and regulations
