About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead government and commercial proposal development from solicitation analysis through final submission
- Lead proposals end to end, from RFP/solicitation review through final submission
- Develop proposal schedules, work plans, and submission timelines
- Coordinate activities across sales, program, finance, technical SMEs, and leadership
- Manage multiple simultaneous proposal pursuits under tight deadlines
- Maintain version control, proposal documentation, reusable content, templates, libraries, and past-performance materials
- Ensure proposals comply with solicitation requirements, formatting, structure, and submission requirements
- Write and edit technical approaches, management approaches, staffing plans, past performance narratives, program methodologies, executive summaries, and other proposal sections
- Translate technical and program information into clear, persuasive proposal content
- Develop win themes based on client requirements and organizational capabilities
- Coordinate reviews, comments, approvals, and final production
- Ensure consistency across technical, management, pricing, and budget narratives
- Manage proposal content within Responsive or similar proposal management platforms
- Support proposal pricing and budget development with finance
- Track deadlines and deliverables across multiple pursuits
- Work with the internal team to ensure timely delivery of services and client expectations are met
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of proposal development, proposal management, business development, or related experience
- Demonstrated experience developing successful government and/or commercial proposals
- Strong technical writing and editing skills
- Experience managing multiple proposals simultaneously
- Strong project coordination and deadline-management skills
- Experience working with sales, program, finance, marketing, and technical SMEs
- Strong knowledge of MS Office and Adobe PDF
- Understanding of clean energy/sustainability is required
- Ability to work effectively across all U.S. timezones
- Experience with U.S. government or utility procurement preferred
- Experience with state, municipal, or utility RFPs preferred
- Experience in clean energy, infrastructure, engineering, or utility industries preferred
- Experience with Responsive and/or Salesforce preferred
- Experience supporting proposal budgets/pricing preferred
- CF APMP, CAPM, or PMP preferred
- Experience at major engineering/consulting or clean-energy companies preferred
