About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Guide the on-site delivery and implementation of Red Hat technology
- Understand customers' infrastructure and business needs, particularly the OpenShift Platform
- Make recommendations appropriate to customers' environments
- Serve as a subject matter expert for Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform at client sites
- Implement enterprise-scale OpenShift solutions integrating networking, storage, security, and identity management
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows
- Learn new technologies and apply them to customer needs
- Provide quality results and support multiple projects across industries
- Keep stakeholders updated on issues affecting project or company performance
- Manage problem identification, system architecture definition, software specification, design, testing, and deployment of open source solutions
- Produce written project documentation for Red Hat and client management teams
- Adapt to changing customer requirements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in a consulting or related role
- Experience with enterprise-wide deployments
- Advanced knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
- Hands-on expertise with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP), or Open Source equivalents, including installation, configuration, and day-2 operations
- Experience with DevOps and GitOps practices and related tools, including Ansible, Jenkins, ArgoCD, and Tekton
- Demonstrated experience communicating value, progress, and metrics of key projects to required stakeholders and diverse audiences
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, project management, and planning skills
- Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), or willingness to pursue certification within 90 days
- Must be an Australian citizen
- Australian government security clearance at NV2 or above
- Ability to provide onsite delivery in Canberra
