About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist in delivering solutions that solve clients’ business challenges through hands-on technical implementation and enablement of recommended practices
- Promote adoption of Red Hat solutions for customers using technical expertise and interpersonal skills
- Support customers in building scalable, optimally managed, and adaptable enterprise technology infrastructures using Red Hat technologies
- Continuously learn, grow, and adapt to new skills and technologies
- Travel frequently to work alongside financial services, retail, telecommunications, and institutional customers
- Collaborate on customer project delivery as a technical contributor
- Develop customer use cases into project plans aligned with Red Hat technologies
- Implement complex enterprise solutions in customer environments as part of a delivery team
- Share lessons learned, best practices, and how-tos with internal and external communities of practice
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience with delivering an implementation as part of a project team based on an architectural design
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to a technical project, including collaborating on project timelines and maintaining project and technical documentation
- Ability to understand stakeholder needs and set expectations regarding project timelines and scope of work
- Experience working collaboratively across diverse teams and stakeholders
- A desire to mentor
- Base-level experience using and configuring Linux systems
- Understanding of configuration as code
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes on GKE, EKS, or AKS is valued
- Intermediate technical experience with one or more virtualization and cloud technologies such as OpenStack, Red Hat Virtualization, VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, AWS, IBM Cloud, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure
- Experience with scripting languages such as YAML and Python
- Understanding of the advantages of automation in a complex environment
- Some experience using or configuring cloud technologies, including container management and/or orchestration
- Previous exposure to or practical experience with OpenShift is a plus, but not required
- Intermediate-level understanding of infrastructure, networking, storage, and security
- Willingness to travel 20–30 weeks per year on average across North America
