About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage complex projects from initiation through delivery to closure
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and establish project performance metrics
- Define, monitor, and review project economics, including timelines, budgets, and risks
- Apply PMI, Red Hat Services, systems and software development, and agile methodologies such as Scrum
- Drive project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting for Red Hat Services projects
- Manage project requirements, scope, timelines, customer cadence, and utilisation across multiple projects
- Establish project control and reporting procedures and manage operational-plan changes
- Manage project requirements and scope/change requests proactively
- Develop and present project-related content to stakeholders
- Work with the Resource Management Office to staff projects with relevant consultants and architects
- Train, coach, and mentor project team members and lower-level project managers
- Work with sales and pre-sales teams on project scope, estimates, schedules, and review processes
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of experience in a project management role in IT-based projects
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Knowledge of project management and technical delivery methodologies used in the IT industry
- Solid interpersonal, leadership, and analytical skills; business insight
- Strong written and verbal communication and negotiation skills
- Solid organisational skills, including attention to detail and handling multiple projects concurrently
- Technical knowledge and experience in the Red Hat product portfolio advantageous
- Excellent customer-facing and internal communication skills
- Project management certification
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Ability to motivate project teams and individual contributors and mediate conflicts
