About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Guide customers from initiation through successful delivery of software services engagements
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and measure progress to complete projects on time, within budget, and with excellent customer satisfaction
- Identify, communicate, and mitigate project risks and resolve issues
- Develop and present project collateral
- Support accounting activities including burn reporting, revenue, forecasting, and invoicing
- Continuously learn, grow, and adapt to new skills and technologies
- Travel weekly, Monday-Thursday, to client locations, potentially outside the local area
- Develop innovative customer solutions using open practice library methodologies, industry-standard project management practices, and Red Hat policies and procedures
- Interact with project resources, senior Red Hat and customer management, and Red Hat Support teams
- Progress through customized training and Red Hat technology enablement
- Build production-ready technical solutions integrated with enterprise systems
- Support customer success as a technical lead
- Develop project plans from customer use cases and align requirements with Red Hat technologies
- Implement complex, large-scale solutions in customer environments
- Share lessons learned, best practices, and how-tos with internal and external communities of practice
Requirements
What you’ll need- Active Top Secret security clearance
- Experience delivering technical consulting engagements using industry-specific methodologies to the U.S. Government
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and lead a project delivery team
- Demonstrated ability to meet client needs and interface with executive leadership
- Ability to identify stakeholder needs and set expectations regarding project timelines and scope of work
- Experience working collaboratively across diverse teams and stakeholders
- Knowledge and desire to mentor
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Experience leading modern cloud platform consulting engagements
- Experience implementing and integrating Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Red Hat OpenShift
- Broad and deep experience with project management standards such as PMP, CMS, SAFe, or equivalent
- Practical experience with the software development lifecycle and DevSecOps approaches
- Experience with Salesforce and professional services automation platforms
- Proven ability to manage project budgets, including P&L oversight, financial forecasting, and resource allocation
- Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets
- Ability to promote best practices and processes to improve consulting engagement velocity and success
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Willingness to regularly travel to customer locations throughout the Washington, D.C. metro area and occasionally across the U.S.
- Able to travel weekly, Monday-Thursday, to client locations
