About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Create possibilities, solve problems, and establish working relationships with customers
Explain the benefits of Red Hat cloud solutions to customers and understand their infrastructures and business needs
Work closely with customers on architecture, deployment, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of Red Hat cloud and container solutions
Assess, design, and implement Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, Ansible Automation Platform, RHEL, ODF, and Kubernetes-based technologies
Implement automated, containerized cloud application platform solutions
Address infrastructure concerns including networking, storage, virtualization, security, logging, monitoring, high availability, and system resilience
Learn and apply container orchestration, container registries, container build strategies, cloud storage, and software-defined networks
Serve as a subject matter expert on site for technical, developmental, and strategic IT needs
Manage problem identification, system architecture definition, software specification and design, testing, and deployment of complex open source solutions
Adapt to changing customer requirements
Respond professionally to incidents, escalations, and exceptions
Deliver timely, in-scope results on-site and post-engagement, including project journals, status reports, and standard documentation
Participate in sales and proposal presentations and ongoing team account activities

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree required
Master's degree in computer science, engineering or MBA
5+ years of experience with Linux system administration, preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or a derivative
4+ years of experience working with Kubernetes, AKS, GKS, EKS, Docker, Podman, or other container and PaaS technologies
3+ years of scripting or programming experience
Knowledge of system management, including installation, custom channels, deploying virtualized systems, basic client-based security, repositories, and creating core builds
Excellent technical abilities
Solid communication and customer-facing skills
Ability to learn new technology quickly
Proven experience with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, Ansible Automation Platform, and other Red Hat products is a plus
Knowledge of software development lifecycle practices, including Agile (e.g. Scrum), Waterfall, and Incremental is a plus
Agile and DevOps mindsets desired; willingness to study and learn Agile practices
Red Hat Certifications are a plus
Fluency in Spanish is a plus
