About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Contribute to the architecture, design, development, and testing of new software features and solutions for RHOAI
  • Innovate in the MLOps domain through participation in upstream communities such as KServe and llm-d
  • Ensure non-functional requirements including security, resiliency, and maintainability are met
  • Write unit and integration tests and collaborate with quality engineers to ensure product quality
  • Use CI/CD best practices to deliver productization efforts into RHOAI
  • Mentor junior engineers through hands-on technical training and provide guidance on upstream open-source contributions, feature integration, and cross-system interoperability
  • Use AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, and Claude Code
  • Explore emerging AI technologies and identify opportunities to incorporate AI capabilities into development workflows and tooling
  • Conduct thoughtful and prompt code reviews
  • Collaborate with product management, engineering, and cross-functional teams to analyze and clarify business requirements
  • Communicate development efforts to stakeholders and team members
  • Represent RHOAI at industry events, customer meetings, and open-source communities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or related field
  • Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related role
  • Three (3) years of experience with architecture, design, development, and testing of complex features and solutions for large-scale software platforms
  • Three (3) years of experience writing unit and integration tests and working with quality engineers
  • Three (3) years of experience using CI/CD best practices for productization efforts
  • Three (3) years of experience conducting high-quality, thoughtful, and prompt code reviews
  • Three (3) years of experience developing applications in Python or GoLang
  • Three (3) years of experience developing applications on Kubernetes or OpenShift
  • Two (2) years of experience developing for public cloud services (AWS, GCE, or Azure)
  • One (1) year of experience innovating and operating in the MLOps and/or AIOps domain
  • One (1) year of experience building and releasing enterprise software based on open-source software
