About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Participate in upstream communities and on a scrum team
  • Develop new features in container technologies to support different products
  • Design technical solutions to abstract problems
  • Ensure test plans exist for created code and documentation is correct
  • Work on open source projects such as Podman and other container-related technologies
  • Leverage AI and Agentic Workflows where appropriate

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited university program in the Czech Republic during the full duration of the internship
  • Must be able to join part-time from February 2027 till January 2028
  • Working knowledge of written and spoken English
  • Basic experience with any programming language
  • Working knowledge of Linux
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and with a geographically distributed team
  • Interest in learning new technologies
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Golang, Rust and/or Python is a plus
  • Knowledge of Jira and GitHub workflows is a plus
  • Familiarity with Linux containers, Docker, or Kubernetes is a plus
  • Familiarity with networking is a plus
  • Familiarity with Continuous Integration (CI) is a plus
