About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Contribute to developing components of observability solutions supporting Red Hat’s secure software supply chain solution, Konflux
  • Assist in troubleshooting and improving existing observability solutions under experienced engineers’ guidance
  • Support users of Red Hat’s Strategic Secure Software Supply Chain in troubleshooting platform issues
  • Gain hands-on experience with open source, Red Hat products and observability tools
  • Design and implement new solutions for internal teams such as Site Reliability Engineering and key user groups
  • Collaborate with software engineers from different geographies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited university program in the Czech Republic during the full duration of the internship
  • Must be able to join part-time from February 2027 till January 2028
  • Working knowledge of written and spoken English
  • Experience in development in Python or Go
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, preferably with GitHub Actions and Tekton Pipelines
  • Basic understanding of observability concepts including metrics, logging and tracing
  • Interest in learning new technologies and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with AI coding assistants
  • Familiarity with observability platforms such as Grafana
  • Comfortable collaborating with geographically distributed and cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge of containers and OpenShift or Kubernetes and cloud platforms is a plus
  • Experience with GitOps tools such as ArgoCD is a plus
  • Code contributions to or participation in open source projects or code samples on GitHub is a plus
  • Experience with coding assistants is a plus
  • Understanding of observability frameworks such as OpenTelemetry is a plus
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Loki, Grafana, Tempo, Mimir and Prometheus is a plus
  • Interest in platform engineering, reliability or observability as a career path
