About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Join the Telco Platform and Partner Workloads group
- Contribute to platform and workload team activities
- Participate in daily planning and take on development backlog tasks, technical debt reduction, and bug fixing
- Learn the end-to-end development lifecycle
- Build tools and bots to expedite the development lifecycle
- Collaborate with Red Hat development, solution architecture, business units, strategic partners, and open source communities
- Enable the Telco partner ecosystem and drive adoption of Red Hat technologies and platforms
- Develop Telco features for OpenShift
- Codify industry and standard cloud computing best practices
- Certify complex 5G cloud-native network functions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be enrolled in an accredited university program in the Czech Republic during the full duration of the internship
- Must be able to join part-time from February 2027 till January 2028
- Working knowledge of written and spoken English
- Software development experience in a Linux/RHEL environment
- Knowledge of Kubernetes and container technologies
- Ability to quickly learn and adopt new technologies, standards and practices
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to effectively explain complex technical concepts and efficiently summarize information
- Knowledge or experience in building CI/CD systems, Behavior Driven Development of test and automation frameworks, QE positive/negative testing, or chaos engineering is a plus
- Contribution in open source communities or active involvement in CNCF work groups is a plus
- Knowledge of Telecom infrastructure and networks, 5G Core/RAN architecture and protocols, 3GPP standards, O-RAN, Mobile Edge Computing, or SDN/NFV is a plus
- CV should clearly outline education, relevant projects, a GitHub account link, and extracurricular activities
