About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage day-to-day client relationships for assigned accounts and projects
  • Lead execution of medical communications and medical publications programs from initiation through completion
  • Ensure initiatives are strategically aligned, delivered on time, within budget, and to quality and compliance standards
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day client contact
  • Lead client status meetings and prepare agendas, status updates, meeting recaps, and follow-up
  • Collaborate with Creative, Editorial, Digital, and Project teams on execution
  • Review deliverables for alignment with client objectives, feedback, regulatory guidance, and client processes
  • Manage project and account financials, including budget tracking, invoicing, reconciliations, and scope changes
  • Develop and manage change orders and support proposal and SOW development
  • Ensure adherence to agency and client SOPs, compliance requirements, and industry regulations including PhRMA and Open Payments
  • Supervise and support medical/regulatory/legal review processes, including Veeva document submission systems
  • Participate in onsite client meetings, advisory boards, congress activities, and speaker programs as needed
  • Coach and support junior team members through guidance, feedback, and workload prioritization
  • Identify new opportunities and support business development efforts

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree required (Communications, Marketing, Life Sciences, or related field preferred)
  • 4–6+ years of experience in medical communications, medical education, pharma marketing, or related fields
  • Strong understanding of the life sciences industry, therapeutic landscapes, and drug development process
  • Financial acumen including forecasting, SOW development, and profitability management
  • Strong client communication and relationship management skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
  • Strong attention to detail with commitment to quality, accuracy, and compliance
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management systems
  • Familiarity with document submission systems such as Veeva PromoMats preferred
