About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the Company’s Environmental Compliance function
- Conduct environmental audits at the company’s healthcare facilities, including hospitals, clinics, medical centers, and laboratories
- Conduct environmental audits of third-party suppliers, such as waste management companies and laundries
- Serve as the focal point for facilities and regional teams
- Monitor and assess facilities’ environmental performance indicators
- Prepare reports on facility performance against environmental indicators
- Perform critical assessments to drive improvements
- Prepare greenhouse gas inventories for facilities
- Identify the amount of CO₂ equivalent emissions, key emission sources, and improvement opportunities
- Evaluate greenfield and brownfield architectural projects to ensure the environmental compliance of infrastructure
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Management, Biology, or a related field
- ISO 14001 certification and implementation experience
- ISO 14001 Internal Auditor training
- Experience conducting first-, second-, and third-party audits
- Healthcare waste management in a hospital environment
- Greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions inventory and management
- Qualification and auditing of environmental suppliers
- Environmental analysis of projects, construction works, and expansions
- Knowledge of environmental certification processes and hospital accreditations
- Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and municipal environmental legislation
- Auditing of Environmental Management Systems (EMS)
- Management of solid waste and healthcare waste
- Preparation of audit reports and technical opinions
- Assessment of environmental legal compliance
- Management of environmental performance indicators
- Knowledge of environmental licenses, permits, authorizations, and conditions
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
- Power BI
- Copilot
- Availability for initial training during regular business hours
- Availability to work a hybrid 5-days-on/2-days-off schedule
