About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team of five direct reports
- Provide strategic direction, coaching, and support to advance divisional priorities
- Lead innovation, quality improvement, professional practice, accreditation, project delivery, and operational excellence across Seniors Services
- Lead development and execution of divisional strategies, priorities, and transformative initiatives
- Champion continuous quality improvement, risk management, performance measurement, and accreditation activities
- Provide clinical and professional leadership for evidence-based nursing and interdisciplinary practices
- Oversee complex, multi-phased projects and strategic initiatives from concept through implementation
- Develop business cases, funding proposals, and support operational integration
- Build high-performing teams through coaching, mentorship, performance management, succession planning, and employee development
- Establish relationships with internal service partners, healthcare organizations, regulatory bodies, and external partners
- Oversee policy development, document management, contracts, information management systems, performance reporting, and strategic planning
- Lead initiatives using data, feedback, and evidence-informed practices to improve resident and client experience
- Report to the Program Director, Operational Services, Seniors Services
Requirements
What you’ll need- Registered Nurse with B.ScN required
- Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario required
- Minimum four years recent experience in LTC or Seniors Services setting
- Member of Registered Nurses Association of Ontario (RNAO) and other organizations relevant to the role
- Minimum of five years of related management/leadership experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Long Term Care experience and/or Seniors Services experience
- Thorough knowledge of the health care system, the Fixing Long Term Care Act 2021, Ontario Regulations 246/22, and long-term care industry guidelines and requirements
- Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check required as a condition of employment
- Tuberculosis (TB) Skin Test Clearance required as a condition of employment
- Strong leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams and complex portfolios
- Demonstrated ability to execute strategic priorities and lead organizational change
- Expertise in quality improvement, performance measurement, risk management, and accreditation processes
- Experience leading large-scale projects and initiatives with organizational impact
- Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with diverse internal and external partners
- Excellent communication, facilitation, presentation, and report-writing skills
- Proven analytical, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making capabilities
- Experience managing budgets, contracts, and operational resources
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and practices
- Demonstrated proficiency with information technology systems and digital transformation initiatives
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Off-site work location must be within Ontario
- Project Management Professional (PMP) designation or equivalent project management training is nice to have
- Experience leading Accreditation Canada reviews or similar accreditation programs is nice to have
- Experience developing business cases, funding proposals, and ministry submissions is nice to have
- Experience in strategic planning, clinical practice leadership, or healthcare transformation initiatives is nice to have
