About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct inbound and outbound calls to resolve delinquency status of past-due customer accounts
  • Call customers about early delinquency account statuses
  • Work with customers to resolve account delinquency while minimizing company interest losses
  • Implement repayment plans and collect delinquent payments
  • Ensure files and paperwork are properly and accurately completed
  • Comply with risk management programs, rules and regulations, and cybersecurity practices
  • Identify opportunities for and support process improvements
  • Apply disciplined change management practices
  • Contact outside parties to collect or clarify documentation
  • Track working time and comply with scheduled shifts, including one evening per week and one Saturday per month
  • Complete onsite training and potentially transition to a hybrid schedule after training

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must pass any assessment associated with the position
  • Must be fluent in both Spanish and English
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Ability to interpret and ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, and industry guidance
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong organization skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Detailed oriented
  • Customer service and relationship-building skills
  • Collections and negotiation skills, including discussing past-due accounts and establishing repayment plans
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing account information and documenting customer interactions
  • Reliable home internet connection for hybrid work
  • Proximity to either Hattiesburg, MS or Kingwood, TX is required
  • Full attendance expected throughout training and onboarding
