About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct business process analysis, needs assessments, and preliminary cost/benefits analysis to align IT solutions with business initiatives
  • Function as liaison between lines of business and the Information Technology department
  • Formulate specifications for moderately complex operating software applications and modify or maintain complex existing applications
  • Analyze and evaluate existing or proposed systems and devise computer programs, systems, and related data-processing procedures
  • Prepare charts, diagrams, program specifications, and coding logic flowcharts
  • Encode, test, debug, and install operating programs and procedures in coordination with computer operations and user departments
  • Review progress and evaluate results
  • Report inconsistencies to management and suggest problem resolutions and business process improvements
  • Provide on-call support after hours and/or weekends when required by business group
  • Analyze credit reporting metrics involving Metro2 file data, reject reporting, and dispute management
  • Collaborate with business units and systems of record including mortgage, credit cards, consumer lines and loans, home improvement loans/lines, and charged-off debt collections
  • Interface with credit reporting agencies
  • Report to the SVP responsible for credit bureau reporting oversight and governance
  • Improve data furnishing practices and refine credit reporting activities
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations when applicable

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or GED and ten (10) years of related experience OR Bachelor's degree and six (6) years of related experience
  • Banking or financial services industry experience preferred
  • Experience providing application support to include troubleshooting preferred
  • Experience with business intelligence tools preferred
  • Experience creating relational database queries preferred
  • Familiarity with agile and/or waterfall methodologies preferred
  • Project Management and testing experience preferred
  • Ability to use application programming interface (API) tools
  • Actively demonstrates a complex working knowledge of systems and software development concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Advanced ability to research, analyze data, and derive facts
  • Knowledge of applicable testing tools and effective implementation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
  • Advanced Power BI expertise preferred
  • Experience with credit reporting and related data preferred
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; Regions will not sponsor work visas
