About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Coordinate and integrate activities across finance transformation workstreams covering process, technology, data, reporting, controls, and organizational change
  • Establish and maintain integrated project plans, milestones, dependencies, and critical paths
  • Facilitate governance meetings, steering committees, and executive status reviews
  • Track program progress and escalate risks, issues, and decisions requiring leadership attention
  • Ensure alignment between project objectives and organizational strategic goals
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Finance leadership, business stakeholders, IT teams, implementation partners, and functional groups
  • Build relationships with senior leaders to drive alignment and accountability
  • Communicate program status, decisions, risks, and achievements to executive stakeholders
  • Facilitate cross-functional workshops and decision-making sessions
  • Support finance operating model changes, process improvements, and technology solutions
  • Coordinate ERP implementations, financial system enhancements, data governance initiatives, and reporting transformations
  • Ensure workstream deliverables are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with business requirements
  • Monitor transformation benefits realization and performance metrics
  • Partner with change management teams to drive user readiness and adoption
  • Support communication strategies, training plans, and stakeholder engagement activities
  • Identify organizational impacts and develop mitigation plans for resistance to change
  • Maintain program risk and issue logs
  • Identify cross-functional dependencies and delivery impacts
  • Develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans
  • Ensure compliance with financial controls, governance requirements, and audit standards
  • Track program budgets, resource allocations, and vendor activities
  • Monitor project expenditures against approved budgets
  • Support business case development and benefits tracking
  • Assist leadership in prioritizing initiatives and allocating resources
  • Drive delivery of transformation milestones on schedule and within budget
  • Improve finance operational efficiency, reporting accuracy, and control effectiveness

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Six (6) years of relevant experience
  • Experience as a team leader
  • Experience in a Technology role in banking or a financial services industry preferred
  • MBA, CPA, PMP, PgMP, Lean Six Sigma, or similar certification preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in finance, program management, transformation, consulting, or related disciplines preferred
  • Experience managing large-scale finance transformation programs preferred
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional initiatives involving Finance and Technology organizations preferred
  • Knowledge of ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Workday, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar systems preferred
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies and organizational change management preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and conceptual skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Understanding of and ability to interpret applicable rules, regulations, and industry guidance
  • Finance and accounting process knowledge, including Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, and Financial Planning & Analysis
