About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the primary technical support resource and Subject Matter Expert for the Planview platform
  • Troubleshoot complex issues involving project portfolios, resource management, financial management, and workflow configuration
  • Obtain application design and functionality information to propose solutions to end users
  • Respond to client inquiries concerning software operation and troubleshoot system software and operator complications
  • Monitor routine and critical processes and workflows to identify problem trends
  • Configure and maintain Planview system settings, business rules, workflows, security roles, permissions, and organizational hierarchies
  • Assist with application implementations and configuration
  • Perform root cause analysis and provide technical solutions to production-related application errors
  • Perform application testing in various environments
  • Lead application patching, release deployments, vendor upgrades, and post-release validation activities
  • Deploy service releases, patches, requests, and customizations, including those subject to regulatory and compliance deadlines
  • Participate in after-hours support, production deployments, and major incident response activities as required
  • Resolve complex problems or issues
  • Oversee multiple processes and act as a procedural expert regarding policies, guidelines, or processes
  • Ensure compliance with risk management programs, rules and regulations, and cybersecurity practices
  • Identify and support process improvements and apply disciplined change management practices
  • Act as lead to less experienced associates and/or subject matter expert

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and seven (7) years of related experience, or Associate's degree in related field and nine (9) years of related experience, or High School Diploma and eleven (11) years of experience
  • Ability to interpret and ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, and industry guidance
  • Ability to communicate technical problems and solutions to non-technical users
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience analyzing application logs, database records, and integration transactions for troubleshooting purposes
  • Knowledge of Planview Portfolio and Resource Management (PPM) capabilities
  • Understanding of project portfolio governance, project lifecycle management, and resource capacity planning
  • Ability to create and interpret executive dashboards, portfolio reports, KPIs, and financial reporting metrics
  • Ability to lead troubleshooting efforts during critical incidents and coordinate cross-functional resolution activities
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
  • Must be within a reasonable driving distance to Birmingham, AL, Atlanta, GA, or Charlotte, NC
