About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems considering computer limitations, operating time, and desired results
- Develop, modify, and maintain applications
- Monitor system applications and ensure systems run smoothly
- Create reports and documentation outlining findings and solutions
- Support users
- Assign and direct the work of team members
- Estimate team-level timelines and technical efforts
- Assist with reviewing and evaluating personnel performance
- Plan, conduct, and supervise team assignments
- Evaluate progress and results and recommend procedural changes
- Handle compliance remediation
- Design, develop, test, and deploy software using custom and off-the-shelf tools
- Collaborate with architects, business users, project managers/Scrum Masters, and engineers
- Monitor, maintain, and continuously improve software applications
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical and functional software issues
- Complete installation and maintenance documentation and procedures
- Apply design patterns in development activities
- Identify, document, and implement non-functional requirements
- Build, maintain, and execute test automation suites
- Take ownership of applications and make independent decisions
- Identify and implement software performance improvements
- Conduct and participate in code reviews, code quality checks, and developer integration testing
- Ensure compliance with risk management, regulatory, cybersecurity, and change management practices
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree
- Seven (7) years of related experience
- Experience with test-driven development
- Experience with agile development processes
- In depth understanding of design patterns and their application
- Ability to coach, teach, and mentor teams
- Ability to estimate work efforts for project sub-plans or small projects
- Ability to interpret and ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, and industry guidance
- Ability to work in an environment with aggressive timelines
- Demonstrates leadership
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, problem-solving and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences
- Fluency in developing and understanding sequence diagrams and class models, where applicable
- In-depth understanding of DevOps and formal Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes
- Willingness to work within a distributed team
- .NET Full Stack (MVC, ASP.NET, .NET Core, .NET Framework)
- Understanding of WCF and SOAP-based communication
- Experience with React
- Solid understanding of Git branching strategies
- Experience with Harness CI/CD Pipelines
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift
- Experience with IBM MQ
- Experience with Hangfire
- Experience with AWS
- Experience with Kafka/Confluent Kafka
- Experience with Metrics & Monitoring Tools – Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana
- SAFe/Agile Methodology
- Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
- Python/PySpark experience is a plus
- Lead Developer Experience is a plus
- Experience with Metrics & Monitoring Tools – Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace is a plus
