About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Oversee application development, modification, and maintenance
Oversee development and installation of new hardware and software
Install and configure systems and other software
Test installed software for malfunction detection
Identify and resolve business systems issues
Design and deploy new applications and enhancements to existing applications, software, and operating systems
Measure effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems
Develop and implement strategies to improve systems
Monitor and test system performance
Maintain full ownership of a process
Ensure compliance with risk management programs, rules and regulations, and cybersecurity practices
Identify opportunities for and support process improvements
Apply disciplined change management practices
Act as a procedural expert when needed
Lead the work of junior level associates when needed
Provide required on-call support

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field
Five (5) years of experience
Supporting a 3rd Party Hosted application
IBM z/OS, Cobol, JCL, VSAM, DB2, CICS, MQ, job scheduling
Knowledge of Connect Direct and Axway for file transmission in and out of the Bank
API and JSON knowledge for future state
Required On-Call support
Ability to collaborate with programmers, developers, and other technology professionals
Ability to conduct system analysis to detect issues with performance
Ability to develop and implement technology solutions
Ability to interpret and ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, and industry guidance
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Knowledge of software testing techniques, code optimization and software debugging
Strong communication, analytical and problem solving skills
Strong executional capabilities
Thorough understanding of software structures, hardware, computing systems and integration
