About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Originate Multifamily/Agency Multifamily loans across broad geographic areas and numerous property types using Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and FHA/HUD programs
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to achieve origination goals and budgeted volume targets
  • Prioritize prospects and allocate resources to develop sustainable business relationships and high-quality loan production opportunities
  • Discuss Agency and financing products and capabilities with existing clients and bankers and identify prospective customers
  • Maintain market knowledge and provide regional and industry market intelligence reporting
  • Collaborate with Analysts and/or Deal Managers on loan sizing, process management, and transaction or program communications
  • Maintain and expand client relationships
  • Synthesize information, identify risks, and determine loan opportunity suitability
  • Evaluate loan requests using proprietary models and industry analytics
  • Maintain knowledge of regional markets and familiarity with national markets
  • Collaborate with underwriting, legal, and securitization professionals
  • Interact with Agency professionals
  • Cross-sell bank products and services and receive referrals
  • Manage vendor relationships and expectations
  • Manage and report on the loan pipeline

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
  • Ten (10) years of experience with an institutional real estate lender with responsibility for commercial real estate origination and transaction management
  • Demonstrated origination track record
  • Ability to analyze real estate markets and sub-markets and the positioning of the subject property within them
  • Ability to offer concise analysis of relationships, identifying key risks
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders
  • Dedication to providing excellent service to clients
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Extensive knowledge of fundamental real estate cash flow and valuation analysis for office, industrial, retail, self-storage, manufactured housing communities, hotel and multifamily sectors
  • Highly organized, diligent and detail oriented
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Well organized, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task
  • MBA preferred
  • Candidates may be asked to provide historical, closed deal production data
