About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide an exceptional customer experience on the cash line and phone
  • Process deposits, withdrawals, payments, and other teller transactions
  • Answer customer inquiries about products and services
  • Fulfill servicing requests such as card replacement, information changes, PIN resets, check reordering, and basic problem resolution
  • Develop customer relationships and remain informed about customers’ banking relationships
  • Educate customers about consumer products and digital banking solutions
  • Assist branch and team members with customer problem resolution
  • Refer customers with complex financial needs to internal experts
  • Follow bank procedures, laws, and regulations and manage, identify, and report operational risks
  • Achieve branch targets by identifying customer needs and recommending appropriate Regions solutions
  • Make outbound calls using customer and prospect lead lists when needed
  • Attend the Jackson, MS Market interview day if selected

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to work Saturdays as needed
  • Ability to handle cash and process cash transactions
  • Ability to communicate in person, on the phone, and through electronic channels
  • Ability to use a computer frequently, including typing and sustained attention to a monitor
  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to twenty (20) pounds
  • Ability to adhere to policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Ability to assist customers with digital banking offerings
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Ability to oversee large sums of cash
  • Strong customer focus and relationship-building skills
  • One (1) year of banking, cash-handling, and/or customer service experience (preferred)
