About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide an exceptional customer experience on the cash line and on the phone
- Process deposits, withdrawals, payments, and other typical teller transactions
- Answer customer inquiries regarding products and services
- Fulfill basic servicing requests, including new/replacement cards, information changes, PIN resets, check reordering, and basic problem resolution
- Develop relationships with customers and remain informed about their relationship with the bank
- Educate customers on consumer products and digital solutions, including mobile, online, and ATM offerings
- Assist branch and fellow team members with basic tasks to resolve customer issues
- Refer customers to internal experts when complex financial goals and needs are identified
- Follow bank processes, procedures, laws, and regulations
- Complete duties delegated and assigned by the Branch Manager
- Manage, identify, and report operational risks
- Achieve branch targets by identifying customer needs and providing guidance about Regions’ solutions
- Make outbound calls using customer and prospect lead lists when needed
- Educate customers on emerging technology and assist with their financial needs
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to work Saturdays as needed
- Ability to handle cash and process cash transactions
- Ability to communicate in person, on the phone, and through electronic channels
- Ability to use a computer on a frequent basis, including typing and sustained attention to a monitor
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift up to twenty (20) pounds
- Ability to adhere to policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Ability to assist customers with digital banking offerings
- Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
- Ability to oversee large sums of cash
- Strong customer focus and relationship-building skills
- One (1) year of banking, cash-handling, and/or customer service experience (preferred)
