About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Meet with customers and prospects in person and by phone to determine financial needs
  • Proactively offer appropriate products, services, and guidance to help customers achieve financial goals
  • Coach a team of bankers and oversee branch activities in the Branch Manager’s absence
  • Partner with the Branch Manager to guide and direct branch activities
  • Achieve branch targets by identifying customer needs and providing expert guidance on Regions’ solutions
  • Conduct outbound calls to expand existing customer relationships and acquire new customers
  • Partner with branch leadership on new business development and foster financial wellness in local communities
  • Coach junior-level bankers on product knowledge and customer needs
  • Educate and advise customers on Consumer and Business products and services, including loans and deposits
  • Educate customers on mobile, online, ATM, and other digital banking solutions
  • Share responsibility for greeting customers and processing transactions
  • Oversee branch operational and compliance-related tasks
  • Resolve escalated issues, including scheduling, counseling associates, and input into hiring decisions
  • Refer customers to internal experts for additional financial needs
  • Follow banking processes, procedures, laws, and regulations
  • Manage, identify, and report operational risks

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Two (2) years of banking, sales, and/or customer service experience
  • Ability to work Saturdays as needed
  • Ability to handle cash and process cash transactions
  • Ability to communicate in person, on the phone, and through electronic channels
  • Ability to use a computer on a frequent basis, including typing and sustained attention to a monitor
  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to twenty (20) pounds
  • Registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS)
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Supervisory/management experience preferred
  • Ability to adhere to policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Ability to assist customers with digital banking offerings
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent relationship-building skills
  • Strong communication and customer focus
  • Strong leadership skills
