About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Meet with customers and prospects in person and by phone to determine financial needs
  • Proactively offer appropriate products, services, and guidance to help customers achieve financial goals
  • Focus on small business customers with revenues up to $5MM
  • Acquire new customers and deepen existing relationships through checking acquisition, check cards, money movement, credit cards, merchant services, and lending
  • Achieve individual and branch targets and goals
  • Conduct outbound calls to small business and consumer customers using generated lead lists
  • Partner with the Branch Manager as primary relationship managers for a portfolio of small business customers
  • Educate and advise customers on Regions’ consumer and business products and services, including loans and deposits
  • Educate customers on mobile, online, ATM, and other digital banking solutions
  • Support day-to-day branch responsibilities, including greeting customers and processing transactions
  • Own and resolve customer issues
  • Refer customers to internal experts when additional financial needs are identified
  • Support team development as a subject matter expert for junior bankers
  • Follow bank processes, procedures, laws, and regulations
  • Complete duties delegated and assigned by the Branch Manager
  • Manage, identify, and report operational risks
  • Track hours worked in excess of 40 per week

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Two (2) years of banking, sales, and/or customer service experience
  • Ability to handle cash and process cash transactions
  • Ability to communicate in person, on the phone, and through electronic channels
  • Ability to use a computer on a frequent basis, including typing and sustained attention to a monitor
  • Ability to work Saturdays as needed
  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to twenty (20) pounds
  • Registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS)
  • Ability to adhere to policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Ability to assist customers with digital banking offerings
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service
  • Excellent relationship-building skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
  • Strong business acumen to assess the needs of small business clients
  • Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills
