About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee application development, modification, and maintenance of applications
- Monitor system applications and ensure systems run smoothly
- Create reports and documentation outlining findings and solutions
- Assist with development and installation of new hardware and software
- Install and configure systems and other software
- Test installed software for malfunction detection
- Identify and resolve business systems issues
- Design and deploy new applications and enhancements to existing applications, software, and operating systems
- Measure effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems
- Develop and implement strategies to improve systems
- Monitor and test system performance
- Ensure compliance with risk management programs, rules and regulations, and cybersecurity practices
- Support process improvements and apply disciplined change management practices
- Support and enhance legacy systems while driving modernization efforts
- Provide production support including incident response, root cause analysis, defect resolution, and performance stabilization
- Participate in on-call support rotation as assigned
- Assist with application and database performance improvements through analysis and tuning
- Participate in code reviews and provide technical mentorship
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product teams, and DevOps to align solutions with business goals
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field
- Three (3) years of experience
- Preferred Experience: 6+ Years
- Experience with .NET Framework 4.x and .NET Core
- Experience modernizing legacy applications including ASP.NET Web Forms, MVC, and Web API into scalable .NET Core solutions
- Strong expertise in C#, ASP.NET Web Forms, ASP.NET MVC, Web API, and REST API design
- Understanding of enterprise application architecture, including layered design, service-based patterns, and scalable system design
- Hands on experience designing and deploying cloud native applications using OpenShift
- Knowledge of containerization using Docker and CI CD pipelines
- SQL Server development skills including performance tuning, indexing strategies, and complex stored procedures
- Experience with SSRS and SSIS in enterprise reporting and data integration
- Front end development using ReactJS including migration from legacy UI frameworks
- Experience with Entity Framework and Entity Framework Core
- Experience with Git and GitHub Actions
- Experience in application monitoring, logging, diagnostics, and issue resolution
- Experience working in Agile and Scrum teams
- Experience using GitHub Copilot or similar AI assisted development tools
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
- Ability to collaborate with programmers, developers, and other technology professionals
- Ability to conduct system analysis to detect issues with performance
- Ability to develop and implement technology solutions to resolve technical challenges
- Ability to interpret and ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, and industry guidance
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of software testing techniques, code optimization and software debugging
- Understanding of software structures, hardware, computing systems and how to integrate them
