About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Oversee installing, configuring, and maintaining operating system workstations and servers, including web servers
Provide expertise to the design, planning, implementation, operation, and security of systems
Ensure long-term systems operations and administration requirements are included in information systems planning
Oversee installation, maintenance, configuration, and integrity of computer software
Implement operating system enhancements to improve system reliability and performance
Monitor continuity with system software licensing and maintenance agreements
Provide recommendations regarding hardware and system software planning and budgeting
Manage compliance with security and regulatory standards
Execute scripting as needed using PowerShell and Bash
Conduct routine hardware and software audits of workstations and servers
Develop and maintain an operating system hardware and software configuration database/library and supporting documentation
Drive process improvements and design enhancements
Coordinate, facilitate, and verify projects across multiple environments
Ensure compliance with risk management, regulatory, and cybersecurity practices
Identify and support process improvements and apply disciplined change management practices
Work 2nd shift Monday-Friday, 3PM-11PM

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in a related field or a technical training program and six (6) years of related experience
Or High School Diploma or GED and ten (10) years of related experience
CompTIA Security+ certification
Ability to interpret and ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, and industry guidance
Ability to multitask and prioritize projects
Ability to work well in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
Advanced knowledge of operating systems
Excellent customer service skills
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent interpersonal communication skills
PowerShell preferred
Familiarity with reading network trace logs preferred
Harness preferred
GitHub enterprise preferred
IIS Web Server preferred
Active Directory preferred
Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
