About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Maintain the integrity of the operating system environment under direct supervision
  • Perform system software upgrades, including planning, scheduling, testing, and coordination
  • Perform workstation and server administration setup
  • Coordinate disk space planning and management
  • Maintain growth statistics, space forecasts, tape libraries, and software and hardware inventories
  • Perform data backups and recoveries
  • Monitor system software licensing and maintenance agreements
  • Maintain the production change control schedule and participate in change control
  • Perform scripting as needed, including PowerShell and Bash
  • Ensure compliance with risk management programs, rules and regulations, and cybersecurity practices
  • Identify opportunities for and support process improvements
  • Apply disciplined change management practices

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or technical training program entry level
  • Or a High School Diploma or GED with four (4) years of related experience
  • Ability to interpret and ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, and industry guidance
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize projects
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Knowledge of operating systems
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Server/Online
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint Online
