About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the first point of contact for customers and business partners with support inquiries regarding the Customs & Foreign Trade product portfolio
- Handle support inquiries promptly and with a solution-oriented approach
- Develop a strong understanding of the product portfolio (TARIFE Premium / Export, HADDEX Sanctions Lists, Rules of Origin & Preferences) and practical use cases
- Support customers and partners with integration into their system landscapes
- Identify customer needs and feed them into product development and process optimization
- Implement improvements in collaboration with subject-matter colleagues and IT
- Perform operational product maintenance
- Maintain reliable documentation
- Provide cover for quotation preparation, license determination, and order processing during peak periods and vacation absences
- Handle customer requests across all internal interfaces
Requirements
What you’ll need- Successfully completed commercial or technical vocational training
- Practical experience using foreign trade data products and integrating them into software solutions
- Familiarity with customs tariffs, sanctions lists, and rules of origin
- Initial professional experience in customer service, customer care, or customer success—ideally in customs, foreign trade, or compliance
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Initial experience with SAP GTS, Klopotek, HubSpot, or comparable systems is an advantage
- Confident communication skills and a conscientious, structured approach to work
- Strong analytical skills
- Very good German and English language skills at C1 level
- Enjoy working with customers; resilience, teamwork, and the ability to align sustainable solutions
