About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own brand design projects from brief to delivery across paid media, web, lifecycle, social, campaigns, events, and sales enablement
  • Translate marketing strategy, customer insight, and business context into concepts and visual stories
  • Apply Relay’s visual identity consistently while contributing ideas that evolve the brand
  • Manage small-to-medium projects by clarifying scope, aligning stakeholders, maintaining timelines and versions, communicating blockers, and adapting to changing priorities
  • Collaborate with Copy, Brand, Growth, Product Marketing, Social, and wider organizational partners
  • Present work and explain design decisions
  • Synthesize feedback through design iterations
  • Build and maintain templates, libraries, documentation, and reusable resources
  • Use performance signals, stakeholder feedback, and customer context to connect design decisions to marketing and business goals
  • Develop expertise in a design specialty and share knowledge with teammates
  • Use emerging tools, including AI, to support original concepting and craft while maintaining brand standards

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3–5 years of experience in brand design, visual design, graphic design, or marketing design, in-house or agency, or equivalent hands-on experience demonstrated through a portfolio
  • Portfolio showing strong design fundamentals, thoughtful concepting, and cohesive execution across multi-asset campaigns or multiple channels
  • Strong eye for typography, layout, composition, colour, visual storytelling, and brand consistency
  • Ability to explain individual project contributions and design rationale
  • Understanding of how design supports an audience, marketing goal, and broader business objective
  • Ability to independently manage small-to-medium projects and multiple workstreams
  • Clear communication about scope, timelines, feedback, and risk
  • Ability to collaborate across disciplines and participate in brainstorms and critiques
  • Ability to synthesize complex or abstract feedback and improve the work
  • Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and Canva
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
  • Must be able to join the Toronto office three days a week (Tues/Weds/Thurs)
  • Successful background check and employment verification through Certn required for offers
