About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the commercial success of Relectrify’s battery energy storage systems (BESS) business
  • Lead go-to-market strategy, business development, product marketing, solutions engineering, and customer operations
  • Deliver the ARENA programme supporting Australian market entry with the AC1 product
  • Refine strategy and market positioning
  • Build strategic partnerships with market participants
  • Own the sales plan and P&L, delivering sales, revenue, and gross profit targets with the CEO
  • Define, manage, and execute marketing plans covering brand building and demand generation
  • Build and convert AC1 and future-product opportunity pipelines through channel sales and key-account business development
  • Develop project delivery, asset operations, and customer success teams with Production and Engineering leadership
  • Identify improved ways to deliver customer value, including novel product variants for specific use cases
  • Collaborate with Product Management to incorporate customer needs and competitive realities into the product roadmap
  • Represent Relectrify in senior industry, customer, and partner forums
  • Evaluate and develop market-entry approaches for key global geographies with the CEO and Chief of Staff, then lead approved market-entry efforts
  • Report to the CEO

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Full working rights in Australia
  • Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks, including working rights, criminal history, and reference checks
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and scaling a go-to-market business
  • Experience owning commercial strategy, sales, and financial results
  • Experience building teams to deliver commercial results
  • Ideally, experience in a product business rather than software or services
  • Ideally, experience in a growth-stage company
  • Ideally, B2B experience
  • Ideally, experience in the energy sector
  • Ideally, experience in renewable energy or battery energy storage (BESS)
  • History of success building strategic partnerships with established market players
  • Proven ability to close complex deals through channel and key-account sales
  • Experience winning competitive technical and commercial procurement processes
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills
  • Credibility and presence to represent the company in senior industry, customer, and external forums
