About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the implementation of EHS guidelines across power, deployment, and preventive and corrective maintenance activities at B2C sites
- Monitor activities involving electrical systems, switchboards, battery banks, rectifiers, generators, infrastructure, cables, grounding, and telecommunications equipment
- Guide teams and suppliers on safety requirements before and during activities
- Support the safe release of work fronts, taking into account documentation, risks, equipment, tools, and site conditions
- Ensure work is performed in accordance with procedures, JSA/permit-to-work requirements, regulatory standards, customer requirements, and internal standards
- Monitor critical activities involving electricity, working at heights, access to rooftops, poles, ladders, platforms, towers, shelters, and technical areas
- Verify mandatory documentation for companies and professionals and support the review of risk management programs, occupational health medical programs, medical fitness certificates, PPE records, work orders, training records, certificates, JSAs, permits to work, and procedures
- Track documentation gaps and support the qualification and mobilization of outsourced teams
- Use management systems, spreadsheets, and control tools such as Sytex or an equivalent platform
- Conduct safety inspections, support audits, and identify deviations, risks, and nonconformities
- Issue inspection reports, photographic records, evidence, and technical recommendations
- Monitor action plans, corrective measures, and resolutions with suppliers and internal departments
- Support investigations of incidents, near misses, and operational deviations
- Propose corrective and preventive actions and participate in toolbox talks, campaigns, safety briefings, and safety dialogues
- Promote a strong safety culture and flag risks that could compromise the company’s safety, operations, or reputation
- Support waste management, environmental best practices, material disposal, and compliance with environmental requirements, licenses, and conditions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Required education: Technical Diploma in Occupational Safety, Associate Degree/Technology Degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Engineering, Production Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- Postgraduate qualification in Occupational Safety or Environmental Management is a plus
- Proven experience in telecommunications, power, site maintenance, or infrastructure is a plus
- Experience in occupational safety, EHS, infrastructure construction, power, telecommunications, maintenance, or field operations
- Experience with B2C sites, indoor/outdoor sites, rooftops, poles, towers, shelters, technical rooms, power systems, and telecommunications suppliers is preferred
- Experience with field inspections, document review, supplier mobilization, and monitoring of critical activities is preferred
- Knowledge of NR-01, NR-06, NR-10, NR-18, NR-33, and NR-35 regulatory standards
- Knowledge of JSAs, permits to work, toolbox talks, inspections, and incident investigations
- Knowledge of safety inspections, supplier document management, risk identification and analysis, technical reports, and photographic records
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Basic Power BI skills are preferred
- Knowledge of management systems, Sytex, or an equivalent platform
