About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Capture, update and maintain candidate and recruitment data
- Complete repetitive administrative and data-capturing tasks accurately
- Assist with candidate screening and recruitment administration
- Make and receive phone calls when required
- Follow up with candidates and other relevant parties
- Update recruitment systems, spreadsheets and internal records
- Keep information organised and ensure tasks do not fall through the cracks
- Assist the Head of Recruitment with day-to-day tasks and priorities
- Follow established processes and identify when something requires attention
- Take ownership of assigned work and follow tasks through to completion
- Handle candidate and company information professionally and confidentially
- Take on additional HR and recruitment responsibilities as skills and experience grow
- Work closely with the Head of Recruitment and gain hands-on exposure to recruitment operations, candidate management, HR administration and internal processes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Entry-level position; extensive HR or recruitment experience is not required
- Highly dependable, professional and trustworthy
- Loyal and interested in growing with the company
- Highly organised and detail-oriented
- Comfortable with data capturing and repetitive administrative work
- Able to maintain accuracy during tedious tasks
- Comfortable speaking to people on the phone
- Able to communicate professionally in writing and verbally
- Comfortable receiving feedback and taking accountability for mistakes
- Proactive in following up without reminders
- Able to work independently without constant supervision
- Comfortable learning new systems and processes
- Willing to ask questions when unsure
- Reliable fibre internet connection of at least 50 Mbps
- Reliable loadshedding/power-outage provisions to continue working during outages
- Suitable computer and professional remote-working environment
- Reliable phone and ability to make calls when required
- Previous experience in administration, recruitment, customer service, data capturing or a professional office environment is advantageous
- Must be consistently available Monday–Friday, 08:00–17:00 SAST
