About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Chase overdue invoices by email and phone in a professional, firm tone
- Agree payment plans and log every promise to pay
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve disputes with sales and finance
- Update the ageing report weekly and flag high-risk accounts
- Allocate incoming payments accurately in the accounting system
- Own the collection of overdue invoices and help keep the client's cash flowing
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in credit control or collections, with examples of reducing overdue balances
- Familiarity with Xero, QuickBooks or Sage
- Confident, polite phone and email manner
- A reliable laptop, stable fibre internet and a quiet workspace
- Availability for 09:00–17:00 UK time (11:00–19:00 SAST)
- Experience with UK VAT and payment terms (nice to have)
- Familiarity with Dext or GoCardless (nice to have)
- Experience with ageing reports in Excel (nice to have)
