About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage complex work permits, visas, extensions, renewals, status changes, and immigration assessments end to end
  • Track expiry dates and initiate renewals early
  • Handle escalations from employees, managers, and external providers
  • Advise Onboarding, Offboarding, and Lifecycle teams on eligibility, documentation, and compliance
  • Maintain compliance with global, regional, and local immigration rules
  • Identify risks and delays, monitor policy changes, and brief leadership
  • Maintain and validate the immigration knowledge base with external counsel and government agencies
  • Provide clear immigration guidance to internal teams and employees
  • Review and coach Junior Global Mobility Specialists
  • Support the Lifecycle team during peak periods
  • Build relationships with external counsel, vendors, and government representatives
  • Track processing times, approval rates, and regional bottlenecks
  • Design process improvements to make mobility faster, more compliant, and easier for employees

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4–6 years managing complex, cross-border immigration cases
  • Strong working knowledge of immigration compliance and cross-border workforce requirements across multiple jurisdictions
  • Experience managing external immigration counsel and working with government agencies internationally
  • Experience mentoring junior team members or reviewing their work
  • Practical understanding of data privacy as it applies to employee immigration records
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, fully remote, high-growth environment
  • Fluent in English
  • Another language is a plus
