About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Maximise collection of debt and reduce debtor days in line with company targets
  • Manage and collect customer account debt
  • Take responsibility for a section of the ledger
  • Achieve agreed collection targets
  • Provide reports on account performance
  • Control and monitor daily debt
  • Monitor cash allocation and propose corrective action on allocated accounts where needed
  • Escalate serious issues to the Team Leader or Credit Manager
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Resolve business queries within agreed timeframes
  • Perform ad hoc administration duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience within a collections environment
  • ICM qualification would be advantageous
  • Ability to initiate and facilitate continuous improvements
  • Ability to work to strict timeframes
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy
  • Excellent IT skills including MS Office and Pivot tables
  • Understanding of audit controls
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Good organisation skills
  • May be required to pass a DBS check depending on the role applied for
