About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide high-quality support, information, and analysis on all aspects of finance to the Group IT function
  • Liaise with various LT teams across the Group to ensure costs are captured correctly and comply with accounting standards and SOX controls
  • Lead finance and budget reviews
  • Lead the quarterly GIS forecasting process, identifying risks and opportunities and providing variance analysis/commentary
  • Manage the month-end process, including monthly accruals, prepayments, and journals
  • Maintain the Global IT Forecasting model and provide data insights to the ITLT
  • Line-manage and develop an Assistant Management Accountant and Junior Finance Data Analyst
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and SOX controls
  • Coordinate the IT function's annual budget preparation
  • Provide financial information and analysis to support departmental managers' decision-making
  • Ensure integrity of financial reporting
  • Serve as the primary finance contact for IT
  • Ensure SOX processes are followed and documented
  • Complete IT month-end processes, including general journals, recurring journals, recharges, and monthly forecasts by COB WD5
  • Complete GIS recharges accurately and on time each month
  • Produce monthly reporting packs for IT cost centre managers and the CIO
  • Produce quarterly slide decks and summaries for the IT quarterly business review
  • Collaborate with IT PMO and finance teams on accurate recharges and cost capitalisation
  • Work with IT PMO and project managers to manage IT business cases before IT investment committee presentation

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Fully Qualified - ACA, ACCA or CIMA
  • Skilled and articulate verbal communicator
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Experience of working in a large business environment
