About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage global IT infrastructure services supporting business services and provide global infrastructure operations support
Analyze, investigate and resolve global infrastructure incidents and problems within the Rentokil Initial ITSM Framework
Operate and manage storage and VMware virtual infrastructure supporting hosted services
Monitor the infrastructure estate and take proactive measures to ensure high availability
Carry out incident management using ServiceNow
Install and remove hardware and software and document results
Investigate hardware and software installation problems and faults
Use system management software to collect performance statistics and perform system software maintenance
Carry out network configuration, installation and maintenance procedures
Collect and report network load and performance statistics
Contribute to maintenance and installation work
Perform scheduled backups and restores and track offsite storage
Configure and maintain storage allocation and storage systems
Identify operational problems and contribute to their resolution

Requirements

What you’ll need

Passion for world class infrastructure technology operations
Excellent analytical problem solving abilities
Experience monitoring a medium to large scale infrastructure environment
Ability to install, configure and maintain infrastructure systems and solutions to specification
Excellent attention to detail
Basic knowledge of VMware vSphere
Basic knowledge of vSAN
Basic knowledge of Veeam and Zerto
Basic knowledge of Windows Server and Linux Red Hat
Basic knowledge of Citrix XenApp
Basic knowledge of Cisco Technologies, including Switches, Firewalls or Routers
Basic knowledge of SD-WAN
Basic knowledge of Aruba Networks
