About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct thorough inspections of client properties to identify pest infestations, damage, and entry points
  • Apply approved pest control products, including chemicals, baits, and traps, while following safety standards
  • Educate customers on pest prevention and reducing future infestation risks
  • Build customer relationships and schedule and confirm appointments
  • Assist with sales to current customers and expand products to new customers
  • Maintain, stock, and ensure the proper working condition of pest control equipment
  • Follow local, state, and federal pest control product and safety regulations
  • Drive and safely operate a company-provided service vehicle
  • Perform residential pest management services, including identifying and eliminating pests

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or GED; related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Valid driver’s license from state of residence
  • Licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and/or local regulations (covered by the employer)
  • Available to work Monday-Friday and weekends as needed
  • Open to learning and becoming knowledgeable in all areas of pest control
  • Solid reading, writing, and verbal communication skills
  • Basic math skills sufficient to follow product-label mixing instructions
  • Clean-shaven face for respirator safety
  • Customer-facing experience preferred
  • Ability to work inside and outside in the local climate
  • Ability to work in tight, confined spaces and around animals, insects, mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical current, heights, scaffolding, fumes, dust, and chemicals
  • Ability to regularly sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and use stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment, including an OSHA-compliant respirator
