About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct inspections to determine the source of pest activity
- Identify pests and select products and services to remedy pest presence
- Perform pest treatments and install products to create pest-free environments
- Practice exclusion methods to keep pests out of structures
- Document actions taken and recommend required actions
- Operate and maintain service vehicles and equipment
- Build relationships with high-profile clients through friendly, helpful, and courteous service
- Listen to client needs and offer solutions to pest issues
- Recommend appropriate services and identify additional offerings that provide client value
- Become knowledgeable about available products and services
- Stay current on pest-control developments, trends, technology, and regulations
- Work independently after extensive paid training, with support from colleagues, management, and the office team
- May work with food manufacturers, distributors, pharmaceutical, and food-grade clients
Requirements
What you’ll need- Successfully meet pre-employment background screen
- Possess a valid driver’s license and undergo motor vehicle driving record check
- Available to work Monday-Friday and Saturdays as needed
- High school diploma or GED
- Client-facing experience preferred
- Demonstrated attention to detail
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
- Experience using technology in a work environment, including handheld devices and apps
- Google Suite experience; Gmail, Calendar, and Google Drive a plus
- Open to learning and becoming knowledgeable in pest control
- Comfortable with self-directed working conditions after a training period
- Obtain and maintain licenses/certificates required by federal, state, and local regulations
