About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Produce accurate payroll entries for unionized employees represented by over 175 local CBAs
  • Review and interpret Collective Bargaining Agreement ratifications and apply them to payroll
  • Prepare and analyze union health & welfare and pension contribution calculations and monthly reporting
  • Maintain, analyze, and report union dues deductions
  • Prepare and remit union 401K contributions weekly
  • Audit payroll cycles for accuracy of deductions and transactions
  • Process retro calculations, union dues deductions, FLSA overtime premiums, and union benefit premiums
  • Process special payments including vacation buy backs, boot allowances, safety payments, and union bonuses
  • Collaborate with HR Management, Total Rewards, HRIS, Field Management, and cross-functional payroll teams
  • Prepare payroll reports as requested
  • Transfer knowledge to other team members and support the team
  • Perform payroll system testing and configuration and other assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience with multi-state payroll processing
  • Basic knowledge of regular rate of pay calculation under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products: Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Teams
  • 0–2 years of payroll experience, including processing payroll in large and complex organizations
  • Experience leveraging payroll systems such as Workday or ADP
  • Experience utilizing Excel for data analysis and reconciliation
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred
  • Position is not sponsorship eligible
