About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Analyze the needs of the Company’s most complex functional business areas
Provide recommendations on system solutions or procedures
Liaise between the business and IT department
Document, communicate, and validate requested scope of work for application process enhancements or modifications
Work with IT experts to design, develop, document, test, and validate solutions
Lead projects and mentor other Business Analysts as needed
Act as a liaison with stakeholders while enhancing software and reinforcing business standards
Create detailed functional, system, user, and reporting requirements documentation, including use cases, logical models, process flow diagrams, report specifications, and data mapping and flow diagrams
Research and analyze proposed projects to determine feasibility and durability
Perform profiling and analysis of data from source systems
Support functional and user acceptance testing groups throughout the development life cycle
Assist with creating value propositions (ROI) for proposed projects
Help define and control scope for development initiatives and release schedules
Work with IT Managers to create detailed work plans for software development and enhancement projects
Prepare status reports, knowledge transfer, and implementation plans
Build and maintain relationships with software application vendors and implementation partners
Instruct, direct, guide, and check the work of Business Analysts
Perform other duties as assigned or apparent

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience using Structured Query Language (SQL) for data analysis
Business Analysis or Project Management Professional certification
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, computer engineering, information systems, finance, statistics, computer science or a related field or equivalent experience
Minimum of 5 years of direct work experience in a business analyst capacity working with business systems related to systems support, analysis, or development
Minimum of 1 year project management/coordination tracking and organizing business analysis documentation for projects
Candidates should be located within commuting distance of the Phoenix, AZ office
Occasional in-person attendance may be required for team meetings, training, or business needs
