About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Represent the Global Supplier Alliance function on project cross-functional teams
- Develop and implement supply chain design and sourcing strategies for assigned projects
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, Product Development, Marketing, and Global Supplier Alliance teams
- Identify technologies driving innovation, quality, and cost efficiency
- Ensure supplier bases can integrate required technologies through collaborative strategies
- Balance project needs with Global Supplier Alliance strategies, commercial strategies, and business conditions
- Lead supplier selection and facilitate related business processes under the ResMed Quality Management System
- Establish and align commercial contracts and agreements for components, software, and outsourced systems
- Drive best-practice adoption and change management across commercial resources
- Improve sourcing processes using data analytics to identify optimization and efficiency opportunities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
- Strong business acumen and cost management expertise
- Project management, execution planning, and reporting expertise
- Ability to analyze data and create business models
- Ability to build strategic partner relationships
- Extensive knowledge of global procurement practices and legal regulations
- Strong negotiation skills and supply base management expertise
- Basic knowledge of technical elements relevant to supplier and project outcomes
- Outstanding problem-solving abilities and adaptability
- Ability to coordinate supply chain requirements across global regions
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- In-depth understanding of the ResMed Quality Management System and product development cycle
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced, agile environment
- Knowledge of Oracle, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet Explorer, Project, Tableau, Power BI, Jira, Confluence, contract management, and RFP software
- Degree or Master qualification in Engineering, Science, or Business discipline with at least 7 years of experience preferred
- Extensive directly applicable experience may be considered as an alternative to the degree or Master qualification
- Strong commercial background in manufacturing, engineering, or supply environments
- Experience in global or regional sourcing or a similar commercial function advantageous
- Medical device industry experience related to project portfolios preferred
