About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Complete evaluations and detailed assessments of needs for individuals requiring a Behavioral Support Plan (BSP) or Restrictive Procedure Plan (RPP)
  • Collect and evaluate behavioral data
  • Observe individuals in various settings to develop BSPs/RPPs
  • Collaborate with individuals, families, and support teams to develop BSPs/RPPs and positive interventions
  • Conduct comprehensive functional assessments of presenting issues
  • Develop individualized BSPs/RPPs that are Person Driven and reflect core clinical needs
  • Train and mentor support/program staff, families, and team members
  • Implement and monitor BSP/RPP activities and strategies
  • Collect, organize, review, and analyze data on challenging strategies
  • Maintain behavioral data tracking tools and create progress documentation using Excel
  • Convey trends, progress, success, or the need to change approaches
  • Review and revise BSPs/RPPs annually or when critical revisions are requested
  • Collect BSP/RPP signatures electronically through DocuSign
  • Schedule and facilitate annual BSP/RPP training with interdisciplinary teams
  • Attend psychiatric, medical, and therapy appointments as needed
  • Participate in Interdisciplinary Team, Quarterly ISP, Human Rights Team, Human Rights Committee, and Positive Practices Review Committee meetings
  • Protect individuals’ human rights and complete related summaries and documentation
  • Document billable and non-billable time in SETWorks and complete required progress notes and summaries
  • Submit monthly oversight information to supervisors
  • Participate in supervision and mentoring meetings
  • Review caseload and authorization tools and update teams on changes
  • Submit complete and accurate documentation required by regulations, PDCS, and HIPAA
  • Complete annual training requirements and follow up on correspondence, mailings, and filing

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Special Education, Counseling or other health related fields
  • Two (2) to Five (5) years behavioral support services experience
  • Knowledge and experience with Positive Approaches, Dual Diagnosis, Person Centered Thinking, and Trauma Informed Care
  • Group facilitation and staff mentoring a plus
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent writing, documentation, and record keeping skills
  • Experience with Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) and written behavioral/treatment plans
  • Ability to use Excel, DocuSign, SETWorks, Progress Notes (PN), and Monthly Progress Review Summary Notes (MPRSN)
  • Ability to complete required documentation in compliance with State and Federal Regulations, PDCS, and HIPAA
