About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Complete evaluations and detailed assessments for individuals needing a Behavioral Support Plan (BSP) or Restrictive Procedure Plan (RPP)
- Collect and evaluate behavioral data
- Observe individuals in various settings to develop BSPs/RPPs
- Collaborate with individuals, families, and support teams to develop BSPs/RPPs
- Conduct comprehensive functional assessments of presenting issues
- Develop positive interventions addressing specific behavioral issues
- Develop individualized BSPs/RPPs that are Person Driven and reflect core clinical needs
- Train and mentor support/program staff, families, and team members
- Implement and monitor activities and strategies identified in BSPs/RPPs
- Collect, organize, review, and analyze data on challenging behaviors and strategies
- Maintain behavioral data tracking tools and create progress documentation using Excel
- Review and revise BSPs/RPPs annually or when critical revisions are requested
- Collect BSP/RPP signatures electronically through DocuSign
- Schedule and facilitate annual BSP/RPP training with interdisciplinary teams
- Attend psychiatric, medical, and therapy appointments as needed
- Participate in Interdisciplinary Team and Quarterly ISP meetings
- Protect individuals’ human rights and participate in Human Rights Team, Human Rights Committee, and Positive Practices Review Committee activities
- Complete required supporting documentation and coordinate with the Regional Director
- Collect feedback on individual and team experiences of provided supports and services
- Complete accurate billable/non-billable time and progress documentation in SETWorks
- Submit monthly oversight information to supervisors
- Participate in supervision and mentoring meetings
- Review ISP Caseload Tools and Authorization Spreadsheets
- Submit complete and accurate documentation required by regulations, PDCS, and HIPAA
- Complete annual training and follow up on correspondence, mailings, and filing
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Special Education, Counseling or other health related fields
- Two (2) to Five (5) years behavioral support services experience
- Knowledge and experience with Positive Approaches, Dual Diagnosis, Person Centered Thinking, Trauma Informed Care, group facilitation and staff mentoring a plus
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent writing, documentation, and record keeping skills
- Particular emphasis on Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) and written behavioral/treatment plans
- Ability to complete PDCS Annual Training requirements
- Ability to comply with State and Federal Regulations, PDCS requirements, and HIPAA
- Ability to use Excel, SETWorks, Progress Notes (PN), Monthly Progress Review Summary Notes (MPRSN), and DocuSign
