Key responsibilities & impact

Design, build, and maintain tools and procedures for threat hunting, analysis, and detection at scale, using AI where helpful
Build and own frameworks safeguarding the data quality of curated databases
Develop automated checks and guardrails to keep data accurate, trustworthy, and up to date
Collaborate with domain experts to understand workflows and build tooling that improves efficiency
Write solution design documents that frame problems, evaluate options, and define implementation approaches

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong software engineering background – clean, maintainable code and systems thinking
Ownership and initiative – full responsibility for work and driving projects forward
Keen interest in current security trends across open-source and commercial software
Proficiency in Python or another object-oriented language
Hands-on experience using AI coding tools, such as Claude Code or Codex, to automate workflow
Comfort working with data, spotting patterns in large datasets, and analyzing them in Python or SQL
Excellent spoken and written English
Software architecture experience (nice to have)
Application security knowledge or understanding how software is built, packaged, shipped, and attacked (nice to have)
Familiarity with SBOMs, CVE, CWE, and CPE (nice to have)
Interest or experience in reverse engineering, including debuggers, disassemblers, and static/dynamic analysis (nice to have)
