Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver engaging Databricks trainings across Data Engineering, BI, Machine Learning, and GenAI, primarily virtually and in English
- Start with an approximate 70% hands-on training delivery and 30% team management, scheduling, and operational strategy
- Guide learners through complex technical concepts in an engaging, structured, and approachable way
- Coordinate schedules, prepare materials, manage training Slack channels, and handle last-minute requests
- Collaborate with instructors and Databricks to strengthen the training program and maintain high delivery standards
- Improve training organization by identifying inefficiencies and implementing better ways of working
- Grow virtual training capacity while ensuring consistency and quality
- Own the training calendar, balance instructor workloads, prevent delivery burnout, and optimize calendar utilization
- Recruit, evaluate, onboard, and manage external technical contractors and freelance trainers
- Partner with sales and account managers on technical pre-delivery scoping calls with enterprise clients
- Develop custom curricula and help expand the instructor bench
- Progress toward management, strategic planning, operational leadership, and potentially full practice leadership
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong programming proficiency in Python and SQL
- Comfortable troubleshooting, modifying, and live-coding data pipelines and analytical workflows alongside learners
- Demonstrable ability or strong aptitude to manage people, delegate tasks, supervise technical contractors, and scale a high-performing delivery team
- Structured, organized mindset with confidence to run calendars, manage logistics, and coordinate multi-instructor schedules under tight timelines
- Confident presence in front of enterprise clients
- Ability to uncover technical requirements, set expectations, and map out tailored training plans
- Clear, energetic, and empathetic presentation skills
- Ability to command a virtual or in-person room, keep learners engaged across multi-day bootcamps, and handle repetitive or challenging technical questions with patience
- Professional English proficiency, written and spoken
- Willingness to travel up to approximately 20% of the time, primarily within the EU
- Willingness to learn Databricks, get certified, and ramp up before delivering the first training
- Candidates must already hold the right to work in the Netherlands or elsewhere in the EU
- Candidates must be open to relocating
