About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build, operate, and continuously improve automations across business functions
- Identify manual processes and implement practical automations that save time and reduce errors
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and quickly resolve issues with deployed automations
- Prioritize and execute automation work under the direction of the Director of Operational Intelligence & Automation
- Build and maintain ERP, CRM, and enterprise-system integrations
- Work with APIs, webhooks, JSON, and workflow/connectors on platforms such as n8n, Power Automate, and Make
- Manage AI tool integrations, connectors, and prompt libraries
- Build AI-powered workflows for document processing, data extraction, summarization, and decision support
- Develop, test, and refine prompts and instructions
- Configure and extend AI assistants through MCP connectors, APIs, and platform extensions
- Track AI usage, output quality, and workflow costs
- Capture, measure, transform, and clean operational data from field and departmental sources
- Pull data from business systems and activate it through automations and AI workflows
- Partner with the central data infrastructure team
- Support AI and automation tool rollout, onboarding, configuration, and ongoing support
- Teach employees and department champions to use tools responsibly
- Create user-facing guides, documentation, and training materials
- Write Python scripts for data transformation, API calls, file processing, and custom logic
- Apply version control, error handling, and documentation practices
- Report to the Director of the Office of Operational Intelligence & Automation
- Travel to other office locations as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Hands-on experience building business automations and integrations using modern workflow and automation platforms such as n8n, Power Automate, Make, Zapier, or comparable tools
- Experience connecting systems via APIs, webhooks, and connectors, and working with structured data (JSON)
- Practical experience using AI / LLM tools, including connecting them to workflows, writing effective prompts, and managing integrations
- Python proficiency, including scripting, API calls, JSON handling, data transformation, and error handling
- Ability to capture, transform, and work with data from multiple sources
- Comfort learning and working across modern ERP, CRM, and enterprise platforms
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a self-directed, execution-oriented work style
- Clear communication and ability to teach non-technical colleagues how to use new tools
- Preferred: experience with AI provider APIs in production workflows
- Preferred: experience with ERP and/or CRM integration and automation
- Preferred: SQL or other database query experience
- Preferred: experience supporting enterprise tool rollouts and user adoption/training
- Preferred: familiarity with responsible-AI and data-handling practices
- Preferred: version control experience (Git)
- Preferred: background or interest in construction, contracting, or project-based industries
- Ability to verbally communicate detailed and accurate instructions and information
- Ability to hear with or without correction to receive and interpret detailed information
- Ability to sit at a desk workstation for long and short periods
- Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry at least 10 pounds
- Ability to occasionally walk and stand
- Visual acuity with or without correction to read contract information and view computer monitors
- Ability to use fingers and hands to type, handle, feel, and reach
- May occasionally need to stoop, kneel, and crouch
